Feeling: FINAL
AUD #2 ("Audio tape rip")
Surfaced May 25, 2018. This source is a bit of a mystery. We compared it with the CSO 14 audio and it seems to be the same source...at least partially. The audience dialogue during "Stranded with Gifts" is the same, but other parts of the audio differ, for example the level of peaking during "White Rainbow" and the fact that "Tom's Radio Weston" cuts in. I always thought CSO 14's audio was a mix of the 3 camera sources used in the edit, given that's what it says on the DVD's title card. Without the raw video sources to compare audio with, it's unclear if that's the case, or if Peter used an external audio source, i.e. an AUD, for the boxset. Even if this source is the same, or one of the same sources as CSO 14, it seems to be rawer audio, given it's quieter and a little less hissy. Not sure if this makes it a higher or lower-generation source, but we felt it was worth archiving here, thus we label it AUD #2. Any further information would be much appreciated.
AUD #2 came in two FLAC tracks, A02 and B02. I included them here but also indexed/labeled files for your listening convenience.
To clarify all sources of this show:
AUD #1 - Segments of “Unhappy Rabbits,” “Stranded With Gifts,” and “Tom’s Radio Weston” only. Audio oscillates in volume.
AUD #2 - Possibly the same audio source as used on the EDIT. "Tom's Radio Weston" cuts in.
AMT - 8-second clip of “A White Rainbow” only.
EDIT - 3-camera angles (amateur). “White Rainbow” cuts in, “Stranded With Gifts” and “Tom's Radio Weston” have internal cuts throughout. Uses camera audio. Officially released as Colour Sound Oblivion DVD #14.

John Balance.
Peter “Sleazy” Christopherson.
Thighpaulsandra.
Cliff Stapleton – hurdy-gurdy.
François Testory* – countertenor on “Going Up”.
*This was the only time that François Testory played with Coil live.
Final gig. Only performance of all songs, an originally planned 5-song set with the overall title “Stranded With Gifts” (within which a performed song shares the same name).
On September 13th 2004, Peter performed “The Art of Mirrors (Homage to Derek Jarman)” live at L’Étrange Festival in the Forum des Halles, Paris, France, a score to the films of Derek Jarman. Little information is available, but much of his set seems to be comprised of proto-Threshold HouseBoys Choir material, along with some Coil samples and songs. Note the incorporation of the bird noises later used on “Stranded With Gifts” and “Going Up” at Dublin and the performances of “Sex With Sun Ra (Part One – Saturnalia)” and a very early version of the soon-to-be-classic “Going Up”!
In the Coil mailing list archives, John Balance said this of the Dublin show on October 16th: “In Dublin we are doing a 5-sectioned piece called STRANDED WITH GIFTS(MOTH). All new material.” The material was set to be recorded and released as The Telesmatic Tree in the King Scale, which sadly never came to be.
Gone are the costumes, the props, and the general theatrics Coil had been known for for over 4 years. John wore a dress shirt and tie, Peter and Thighpaulsandra wore different sweaters, and Cliff wore ordinary clothes. The only visual staple is the fog machine.
John’s vocals during “Going Up” were later used on the studio version of the song found on The Ape of Naples.
